... walked back into the village and had a lovely afternoon wandering around the tiny streets and piazzas. We bought a couple of small souvenirs and then headed back to the car by about 5pm and drove the 20 minutes back to the campsite. As soon as we got back to the caravan the kids jumped in the pool to cool off - again. Dinner was stir fry chicken on the Cadac much to the envy of many of the neighbours! So plan C worked out well and we still have Plan A and B to do another day. ...

... We had a lazy morning, the kids (and Mike) went in the pool etc and then it was time to get those hot sweaty suits and dresses on and go and find the meeting. The English speaking congregation was about 30 mins away at Castiglione Del Stiviere. We arrived very early (itself an historic moment for the Hunt family!) and even had time for a Cappuccino at McDonalds which just happened to be on the same road as the Kingdom Hall. This part of the journey is very scenic and the road winds up and down and through tunnels etc as it drops height until you reach the valley floor filled with with acres of grape vines in neat rows or fields filled with apple orc********* a couple of steeper sections we were slightly concerned about a squealing noise from the brakes but we just slowed right back down and had to use the gears a bit more ...

... our next lift at Passo Pordoi. This next lift carried us and another 65 people crammed in each cable car up to the most amazing view at Saas Pordoi, almost the highest point in the Sella Group. As we climbed higher we could see some Rock climbers on the cliff face... It made our via Ferrata look like a walk in the park! We could see below us the winding zigzag path to the top which we were sure Binny and Laura would probably use ...

... gush, what on earth was that?? That was our awning corner pole collapsing under the weight of water from the roof! We all scrambled outside to support the rest of the awning and check out the damage. Fortunately no damage was done and we re-erected it in 5 mins, but we did spend the rest of the evening panicking that it was going to happen again. The worst part about the whole evening was that we had to postpone the pancakes!! ...
