I woke at 7.00am so snuck out of the room to write my diary
and chat to John on facebook. Greta & Immy arrived at 9.30am to use the
internet while Malcolm and Lizzie headed into Asiago to photocopy maps. Laura
was still in bed when they arrived so we had a late breakfast then headed into
Asiago to run a sprint course that Malcolm set. The boys came too and found a
place to hire bikes – 20 Euros for 24 hours, so ...
... I explored the Asiago streets
– it was deserted as the town closes down for the long lunch break. We looked
at the ice skating rink and local “Tree Adventures’ type playground. We spied
a Gelato shop, but had to wait until 2.30 to get our daily fix – Lampone (raspberry) and double chocolate for me.

... using the new ‘Air wave’ timing system – that will be good practice as they will use it in the WOC sprint relay. They just have to pass there hand within 50cm of the control. Each control box had the ordinary SI punch and an SI box with no hole in it which was the Air wave unit.
