... 1 week was a little long. Now that the week has flown by, I wish I had more time!! There is so much to do and so little time. I know I probably didn't use my time in the most efficient manner but I enjoyed Paris at my own pace. I saw everything that I really wanted to see and I left more to be explored later. ... beer tasting, so a lot of what we learned was new to us. We went to three different bars, including the oldest in Brussels, plus our guide's apartment/office for beers that you can't even find in bars. We tasted eight beers in total, some of which were immediately delectable, and a couple of which were more challenging, at least at first sip. Even those more esoteric brews grew on me, however, and I feel much more cultured about Belgian beer ...

I looked over at the friend that I traveled to Budapest with, and I could see she was almost crying, so I had to look away (I later found out that she spent part of the afternoon crying in her office). ... br> now, dining in brussels - we choose a cute restaurant on the corner right across the ally from our hotel. menu looks delicious and atmosphere is hearty and so we snag a two-top right outside and enjoy the contrasting chill of the winder air and blazing hear from the glowing metal grates above. we sit just in time to catch a street performance - some live entertainment for our meal... but wait, we've yet to be helped and no menu ...

... a Christmas tree and it turns out to be quite cool actually =D. Grabbed a nice heaping of chips mmm…Belgian fries! before proceeding home. We were all really tired and to make matters worse it was raining…the whole time =( so instead of trying to force ourselves into tourist mode, we decided to take it easy and rest before collapsing from travel exhaustion (it exists!).
