... is pretty good! On the other side of the lake (about an hour later) we were reunited with Andreas and the bus for the climb up to Engelberg. A pretty hairy drive, with lots of hairpin turns and breathtaking vistas. Engelberg is a very quaint town high up in the alps. We checked into our hotel, the family owned Hotel Schweizerhof. It seems that our group has filled up the entire hotel and we all have a variety of rooms! Dinner in the hotel and finally we have ...

I was trying to reach Lucern, but didn't expect the quantity of hills I had first along the lakes past Interlaken, then the crazy climb over the Brünig pass. Plus it rained heavily in the morning.

Interlaken was beautiful, but super touristy. My favorite part of the day was the rainy morning along the lakes and the awesome views on the descent to Lungern.

I was in Paris overnight, then got dropped off in Bern the following day. Bern is such a cute town. As far as capital cities go, this has by far the best feel. I had two rather calm days. Saw the bears in their enclosure which is in the middle of the city. (Bern is named after the bears). From Bern I had overnight in the Swiss alpine village of Lauterbrunnen and then went straight onto Lake Como. I met some ...

... her brother and family. A young girl at the tourled ist office had been very helpful and had found three people with the last name of Cattano, and suggested we go to the hall of records there! When we got there I could pick out the place we stayed! It was all broken down and the hotel was no longer open! It looked like maybe a couple of rooms we lived in. We went to the hall of records but there was only one person there and of course she didn't ...
