Many folks were milling about the cemetery, most in traditional German clothing. We took a seat in the huge church; it was gorgeous inside-- very cathedral like. It kept filling up, then before we knew it, the band from last night (marching through the town at 11pm, 1am etc) played outside the church. After their songs, they paraded into church ...

... A sports section of an Italian newspaper was left in our seats and we noticed the #9 Italia soccer player whose jersey Brady now proudly owns. Anyway we had a great time, and finished up the day with a great Wienerschnitzel meal at a local restaurant. Tonight we have to pack up for our train trip to Venice tomorrow. We're sorry to be leaving this area. There is so much great hiking here - maybe we'll be back some ...

Great Day in the Mountains of Tyrol

We had a great day in the mountains today and made it up to well over 10,000 feet (10,750 to be exact). We accomplished this feat by taking 3 separate gondolas and also hiking over 500 metres of elevation gain. At a high point above the final gondola (which we had to cross a snowfield to reach - shades of the coming Yukon weather) there was a large needle-shaped marker and a tabletop 360 degree photo showing all the ...
