    Hotel 5 was our home away from home on a recent trip to Seattle. Centrally located, it was a 10 minute walk to Pikes Market or Seattle Center and crawling distance to several great restaurants, pubs and live jazz at Tula's!! Only drawback is the really noisy toilets! Sounds like a rocket taking off. Other than that it is way comfy and totally hip.

    Up the Space Needle before 9.30am to catch the early bird discount, and thankfully this avoided the crowds also. 40 seconds in the elevator to the top 605feet (187m) high the space needle was built in 1962 for the world fair.     Pickup from BCIT at 1.30pm for drive to Seattle. Involves border crossing into USA at Blaine, Washington State. Finger prints scanned, electronic visa waiver processed and printed document stapled into passport. Uneventful - well almost ask Jeanette about the apple!
