Hotel 5 was our home away from home on a recent trip to Seattle. Centrally located, it was a 10 minute walk to Pikes Market or Seattle Center and crawling distance to several great restaurants, pubs and live jazz at Tula's!! Only drawback is the really noisy toilets! Sounds like a rocket taking off. Other than that it is way comfy and totally hip.

Shortish one today because I'm sick of writing. Walked all over town and saw the following points of interest: - Seattle Centre; - Space Needle but I didn't go up, it was too crowed and I'd read online about something else that actually gives you a better view; - EMP Museum - started by Paul Allen, the other co-founder of Microsoft. Total rip off …

This morning I started off by driving to McMinnville to visit the Evergreen Aviation and Space Museum, home of the Spruce Goose. The Museum is in the boonies but well worth going out of the way to visit. The spruce goose was certainly impressive but I was also pleasantly surprised that they have loads of other cool stuff to see there. I had the …

Up the Space Needle before 9.30am to catch the early bird discount, and thankfully this avoided the crowds also. 40 seconds in the elevator to the top 605feet (187m) high the space needle was built in 1962 for the world fair. Amazing views from the top. Once back on the ground we am our way to Chihuly Garden and Glass Art exhibition - WOW. The …

... we had to be out of our room by a certain time. We tipped our cabin steward from the previous room and left for work to do open house.

By the end of open house, the guy had moved out and our room had been cleaned. We finally were able to move into our new crew cabin. It’s been a LONG day with only 3 hours of sleep and waking up at 5am for the Immigration and with running around all day in Seattle and between cabins and working the crazy-busy ...
