Had another lovely day in paradise, not such a good day weather wise as mostly raining, but still beautiful. In the morning we had an Austria guide to show us around a couple of churches and the city. Another abc of the churches so no more of them. The town of Innsbruck is beautiful a little similar to salzburg. We have fallen in love ...

... to the pier for the slow ferry, the sun won its battle to emerge. Much appreciated. Consequently, the ride back was very pleasant, seeing all the villages that were just a blur in the mist on the way up. Annabel bought some stuff and lovely dinner in the hotel restaurant. Beautiful local produce where Sues local treat was bresola a dried beef and salad. This little place is really interesting as it has the alpine village feel but is obviously the shopping Mecca of the area with all the designer goods ...

A wet, cool and muddy day for a race, but it didn't keep over 4000 crazy Europeans for showing up for a variety of races ranging from 10k (Vera) to 78k(Darrin). The views were beautiful, cows clanging their bells as they, also undaunted by the rain, watched all the crazy runners go past their homes. A few ...

... took her spot. We make our way to Davos, located in Eastern Switzerland, the site of the Swiss alpine marathon, and at 5,120 ft, the highest city in Europe. The streets are packed with people, most wearing hiking boots or high end running shoes. A contrast from Zurich, where most of the women wore heels, sandals or ballet flats. After a traditional dinner of flamkuchen and rosti, it's time to get some rest. Darrin has a busy day starting his 78k race at ...
