    We awoke to a total cloud whiteout which cleared from the top down to reveal the Dolomites and then the city below. I think it is safe to say we now appreciate the positioning of these strongholds - being high on a hill. After breakfast we set off for a walk to a swimming lake, stroll along the lake and return.     After washing everything late the night before due to getting in late. We packed our nearly dry washing into our bags. We didn't have much food for breakfast as Rae and Shane had not shopped before they left and no shops were open. We found a piece of cheese and had some crackers.     We spent one week in this cosy and special hotel. We planned every evening with the owner of the hotel where to hike the day after. And every time it was a special experience. We saw a lot of mountain lakes, deers, flowers and the owner one time came with us explaining all about the area: history, geography and bothanic.
