Had an ok night, except for a spider crawling all over me,
but was till happy there was plentiful good strong coffee but the rest of the
    breakfast pretty blah!

Got the 9.45, thankful the rain stopped for the 10 min walk
to the bus station, to Montevideo and changed for Carmelo. My plans for the
loading up on dollars were thwarted by a defective ATM but thankfully the ...

So we woke up expecting to just go around the downtown area but we got an offer to go on a day trip to Punta del este which is on the coast.

We figured it was a decent idea and in the end we were happy that we went.

... place where the jet set lived. It was nice to have been here, but that’s about it.

We waited a long time in line for the tender back and arrived back on the ship around 16:00. The last tender back was at 16:30 and we were supposed to leave at 17:00. It is now 19:00 and we are still here. The captain came on and said they had problems with raising the anchor. He said something about dry chains and they needed to oil it, but needed environmental ...

... The best part was the rock climbing down to the beach below the mansion. So I decided to leave GG back in the air conditioning where she was quiet (or at least I couldn’t hear her whining) and scale my way down the cliffs edge wearing only thongs and somewhat resembling Bear Grills in my approach to the task. It was worth every second of the peace and quiet as I explored the rock pools and took some great photos of the mansion. The sunset was ...
