... hit the ground it was about 50m visibility, different safety standards over here I guess. It was 1 degree when we landed, not complaining but that's very f'ing cold! Straight in the hire car to Vienna. and 1 day in to our visit here as I write this. The city is so classically beautiful. We spent hours on the ice in an open air ice rink, I fell over once and Mel remained upright, great fun. We have booked a night out with the Philharmonic Orchestra, Opera and Viennese ...

As we arrive back at our room, first thing we do is check the temperature, the weather app states in -6 but feels -13 degrees. How is that possible? So we quickly start to defrost and have showers. We end up relaxing for the remainder of the evening, as we kept warm. Glad we made this quick stop, Vienna has so much to offer, but we will have to come back another day to explore what more she ...

There was just one of Vermeer’s 35 paintings. This one "The Artist’s Studio" was hidden by his wife after his death in an attempt to prevent it being seized by the bankruptcy court. However, it was seized anyway and ended up in the Kunsthistricshes Museum.

There was room full of Bruegel paintings with two tour parties (not speaking English) admiring them. After they left we were able to spend ...
