Apologies for the late post. This is the first opportunity to get to the computer since arriving in Switzerland.
Well as you can probably tell from the title of the post we were late into Switzerland…about 90 minutes late and this can be put down to a couple of factors.
1) Horrendous road works
2) Peak hour traffic
3) Unscheduled toilet stops
4) Regulated breaks for Italian coach ...
... are really hard to put on, after putting on feels like your whole body movement has been restrain. We are taken to the abseiling point where we have to abseil down a cliff over 50m. At first I am feeling really scared as I have never done it at such a high height before. But I plucked up my courage and go over the railing and started to abseil down.

However much to my disappointment It had not arrived, so today was dedicated to the mall, as everything is closed tomorrow and I don’t know if i will have my luggage before I depart for Kenya Monday morning. Caroline and I had three hours too shop for summer clothes in a winter wonderland, alongside both getting our malaria pills for Kenya. Needless to say, I think we spent 90% of the day running. But we made it, so I called the hostel in Bern and asked for an extra night, they said theyd leave the key in the mailbox outside for us, since we wouldnt arrive until midnight at the hostel. Well we got to Bern, starving, and the only thing open was a McDonalds in the train terminal. I got some cash out of an ATM, (having NO idea the exchange rate, once again..) and ordered a couple of big macs for us. It came out to almost 26 ...
