... Halles and the Vieux Ville. We took the funicular up the side of the mountain by the infamous Chateau/Collegial and made our way back to the train station. ... arrived at Lauterbrunnen, a small village at the base of the Alps, and boarded a cable car to take us to the next section up the mountain. From there, instead of taking the train, we walked 40 minutes to the small village of Mürren where we stopped for lunch and a look around. ... spicy mustard before exploring and it put me in a much better place. Once I got away from the main train station square, I walked down Spitalgasse, away from Bahnofplatz, and saw the Church of the Holy Spirit and the Prison Tower. I loved how the streets were closed to any transportation except busses and trams, and it was fun (and kind of scary) to watch the trams go under the old archways. Its the start of day three and i can safely say that my sister can now out party me. Either that, or the mix between the jet-lag and elevation change is giving me the worst hangover I’ve experienced to date.
