Following the Everest week this day was supposed to be a genuine rest day, the first of the trip. I would cruise down the valley into the Valais region and camp near the turn off for Zermatt, before deciding whether to take the dead-end uphill detour to Zermatt the following day in hope of seeing the Matterhorn Mountain.

Interlaken just after 10:00 pm and found our way to the hotel. If we thought
streets were hard to find in Italy, Switzerland is worse!
The next day we
went to these really neat caves that had underground rivers, waterfalls and
anything else you might find in a cave! On our last day we decided to take a
hike along one of the lakes and see ...
