    Monday 29 September

    Today was St Remy de Provence day, home to famous artists like Van Gogh. We also saw the house were Nostradamus was born. It is very touristy but the old part is very pretty.

    Sunday 28 September

    Went to the brocante fair and market at L'isle Sur La Sourge. It was brilliant. There was stall after stall of vintage and antique silver, lamps, books, porcelain, you name it. The prices were higher than in other places but it is known as the antique capital of Provence.

    Saturday 27 September

    To get to Boulbon we selected a drive along the coast accompanied by Bruce and Jenelle. Bruce got to see a number of light houses and we had a huge oyster lunch in Bozigues. It is renowned for its oyster festival and the oysters were huge, fresh and creamy. It was lovely setting with the harbour just across the road topped off by another blazing day of sunshine.

    ... it was 15C. By the time we were leaving, the clouds were breaking up a bit, but the sun was also going down. So we sat by the bus, waiting for the driver (we were paranoid that we were going to miss the bus and end up stuck there for a night, which would have been an absolute nightmare – to the point that we had a plan b of getting a taxi to the nearest town on another train line back to Nimes!) and just waited.
