          ... decay ever since a fire in 1708 ravaged through most of the building. Our final stop before reaching Göteborg was the small village of Granna.           The forecast was correct in that the promised rain and wind happened but fortunately for us, by around 11:00 it was more or less over and indeed, by late afternoon the sun was back out, which helped lighten my spirits. We'd obviously been to the boat and seen the damage and now, as Jörgen or his brother Håkan had ground away some of the hull to expose the extent of the damage, we could appreciate how bad it was.
