Most of the paintings in this little gallery were by bodies not on Joys lists, although some of them have now been added to those lists. It was a brilliant driving road, some of the best driving of the trip. The SS 12 was narrow without much traffic, and the low afternoon sun seemed to be perfect lighting. The road runs up and down small mountains, or large hills and offers a great view of the surrounding valleys. I had the most amazing panini ever. The girl at the bar didn't speak much English so I just pointed to a big piece of dried ham and asked for a beer. And 10 minutes later the most amazing sandwich arrived. It was a Ferrari Sandwich compared to cheese on toast. And the girl serving looked like Michael Corleone's Italian wife - before she blew up.
