... Pijp (a very cool area with heaps of bars and restaurants) up and down the city, across umpteen canals and bridges, and nothing ever seemed the same twice. The bridges with pretty flower boxes, lined with parked bikes, overlooking the canals lined with trees at road level and houseboats at water level, really are picture postcard perfect. ... took a bit longer than expected so our plan of arriving at Anne Frank Huis before lunch was foiled. We arrived pretty much bang on lunch time and enjoyed a leisurely 2 hour wait outside in the cold before we entered.

Another journey starts today, 13 hours ahead of us and only 3 hours sleep last night, but that should help with trying to sleep on the plane (I hope) if not the melatonin is to hand. We will arrive in Bangkok around 6.30am and head off to stay at the beautiful Bangkok treehouse along the river. ... the road. We choose to do a 2 hour walking tour entitled The Coffee Shop Tour. I'd just like to point out that it wasn't a pub crawl type tour of coffee shops, we only went into one. We had time before the tour started so headed to the Amsterdam museum, I found it really disjointed. Items from different periods were placed in the same room and it just felt a little odd.
