... and decided to book for 2 nights initially as its a bit overcast, although the lady on reception promised sun for tomorrow. We pitched the tent quite easily, but Jim keeps wandering around checking it. It's a bit windy so hoping it lasts the night otherwise we're stuffed. :-( just had risotto for dinner and having a cup of tea. We're both pretty tired so think we might play some cards and have an earlyish night. Fingers crossed for sun tomorrow.

... 55kms for the day! Well done us. After a freshen up, Rob and I are out on foot to explore the village. It really is lovely. ( I know I keep saying that.) along the canal de midi, the houses mostly looked unkempt, few gardens and while quaint, the older parts of town looked a bit worn. Albert, our host at Argen Minervois, told us that the French don't much care for the way their houses look on the outside. Brittany, at ...

... br> It was a major submarine base during WW2 built by the Germans, in the an enormous and imposing concrete bunker.

Opposite the bunker was a fairly new cinema - so that worked out well....

    Hoping for good weather tomorrow....
