    ... for the locals - which is evident at this restaurant. Pretty cool tradition for locals to drop by and they always have a table to share. The food here is unbelievable it is so good. What a night! I managed to get quite a few grand photos on my wandering around the Markplatz and many side streets while I was in Gengenbach, especially on Sunday.     ... a big selection of smoked meats was located. The chef at the restaurant, who makes 3000 cakes a year, quickly demonstrated (with great humor) how easy it is to make the Black Forest cake. The secret seems to be to use a LOT of whipped cream and Kirschwasser (cherry liquor). We completed the demonstration class by downing a very large piece of cake.     8am we arrive in Kehl, Germany which lies across the Rhine from Strasbourg, France. Kehl has been an important entry and exit point for the French and Germans for many years.
