        The power of water and time was clearly seen at Aareschlucht. A magnificent gorge carved through the limestone rocks was spectacular. 120 years ago some creative people build a walkway along the side of the gorge for people to walk and admire. It was wonderful and yet again pictures could not do it justice. It was entertaining in many ways, watching the flow of the water when a leaf was thrown in and catching high falling drops of water on your forehead mouth. ...

        ... is amazing.

        My plan now was to leave my bike at Grindelwald and take the mountain railway right up the mountain to the "Top of Europe" station at 3454m. It is the highest station in Europe.

        As I rode my bike up the wonderful winding road towards Grindlewald I could see the snow getting more and more every mile. The surrounding mountains were totally covered in the white stuff. Let’s just hope it stays like that for the next few weeks while I ride ...
