    Ballenberg is the Heritage Park of Switzerland. It is an open air museum that displays traditional buildings and architecture from all over the country. It is located a quick train and bus ride from where we were in Lungern and boasts over 100 buildings that have been transported from their original sites.     ... were spent taking pictures; it was really hard to do it justice, but we tried. We returned the same way in much less time and emerged blinking in the sunlight like a pair of cave creatures. Our ticket for the gorge (CHF15, about €12) also allowed us to use the funicular railway at Reichenbach Falls so we headed off there next.

    Our afternoon was spent at Trummelbach falls - 10 amazing waterfalls inside the rock walls, all stunningly lit, and flowing at a rate of 22, 000 Litres per second. What force!
