... Surrounded by the intricate cake like laciness of marble sculpture we walked across the rooftops between the turrets. We took many more photos. After realising that time was now getting short we then rushed down to the stairs, caught the metro back the 4 stops to the Hotel Maddison and walked to 300m to the train station - that's why we booked accommodation close to the station! We made the train with 20 mins to spare so we bought a snack boarded and we were on our way to ...

These buildings apparently represent the most exemplary decorative cycle of 16th century Milanese painting mainly by Bernadino Luini who worked in the neo-Gothic style and was a contemporary of, and influenced by, Leonardo Da Vinci. There were stunning frescoes of biblical scenes pictorially telling the biblical stories to an illiterate audience.

Saw Milan... Well the train station

A travel blog entry by sydalextrip on Jul 19, 2013

... it was starting to get dark and we wanted to buy our train tickets for the morning. We bought tickets for a shuttle into town as the airport is an hour away. The train station was super confusing but we finally found the ticket office. We stood in line for almost an hour, got to the front and they closed, that's right, they closed literally right infront of us. We then decided that instead of spending more money we ...
