Well after 2 days of full on travel we finally checked in to our apartment here in
    Montmartre last night.

What an interesting Bohemian type of area it is! Full of hawker style shops, cobblestone streets, cheap fashion shops, grungy style cafes filled with interesting characters. Just up my alleyway.

After a well deserved sleep (half day), we made our way to the Galleries Lafayette Department store where lunch was an amazing smorgasbord of many different delights. We were finally able to sit down and relax with good food and good company in front of the church where the main event was the very next ...

... the famous Tuilles(?) gardens that lie outside the Louvre. There were many Parisians just enjoying the sun and sitting by the fountains. We ended the tour at the famous Place de Concorde. It is the spot where many lost their heads! Once our tour ended, we sat in the shade for a bit before walking more. We decided to walk down the Champs Élysées! It was very crowded with tourists and locals. We walked down to the Arc de Triomphe. Unfortunately, ...
