      We've been sleeping with the windows wide open at night so this morning we woke to the sound of helicopters and cheering - the marathon was underway.       We didn't wake till 8am ish today and remarkably, our bodies are ok. Breakfast consisted of many French breads and pastries (so the walking miles each day will have to continue).       Prior to having breakfast we walked to Luxembourg gardens (5mins from hotel), which Jacqui had recommended we do. A nice way to start the day and is obviously enjoyed by the locals - there are hundreds of seats/benches scattered throughout the area.       ... The next thing was a “used car” shop, with a Ferrari, an Aston Martin, a Porsche, and a Jaguar in the window. The 10-year old Ferrari was a hundred grand (Euros).
