When we came out of the museum, we were in full sun. Aw, spring! The weather changes quickly. We walked to the Marais neighborhood where lots of people had decided to stroll in the sunshine on a Sunday afternoon. This area is a upscale shopping and restaurant neighborhood, full of life and activity. Not far from there is Shakespeare and Company, an English bookstore crammed with books in English. ... so we didn't mind. The coffee was great, the orange juice was freshly squeezed so we were two very happy Frenchies, by default! Just when we were finished, the cook appeared from downstairs kitchen with a tray of freshly baked croissants...couldn't resist, we had one each and another cup of coffee!

... sold tickets, and it cost me 17 euro to my destination. We had to get to terminal 1 to pick up people and then were on the way to Paris. There was minimal traffic at this hour, already after 10 AM on Wednesday, and we were at Gare de Lyon around 11 AM, a total of 40 minutes journey. At the stop there was a porter waiting for the bus, in a uniformed Air France jacket, who pulled out bags from under the bus; the bus continued on to Gare Montparnasse, and I crossed boulevard Diderot, ...
... and saw all the major hot spots (e.g. Mona Lisa, Venus di Milo, the Sphinx) Ashlyn stood in awe of the building and the grounds of the Louvre. If you’ve ever been, you can attest that pictures do not do the building justice. You must see it to really appreciate it.
