Travelled to Uzes to the market on Wednesday. Found a little cafe with fine China crockery so stopped for cake and espresso. Also met Jeanine, a very friendly French lady who sat with us over coffee. After we told her we were shopping for our dinner cook up she swept us around the market for the best bargains. We even ate 2 freshly shucked oysters each (50c each) while on the run. ... Lodeve for lunch which we had under plane trees near our car after an espresso pick me up. On the route we went over the famous viaduct Millieau bridge. Arriving in Victor La Coste we were a little lost. So yes another espresso saved the day. A very young gentleman offered to take us to 4 rue de la cantonnade riding his bike. See photo. ... Another superb 3 course lunch at Coin d'Aubrac - salad (raw beetroot thinly sliced, baby spinach, almonds, potato, red peppercorns, herbs with a light delicious dressing).
