    ... though. I have grown accustom to walking into a room and not hearing any English and I love it. It makes the world a bit quieter when I can't drop in on the conversations around me.

    ... soon as we met! Even though we knew as little about each other...well actually no, come to think of it we knew quite a bit about each other.  We went for a walk around the city and canals for a bit (completely disorientating me - don't ever let me go anywhere alone) and talked about everything. School, uni, YouTube, birthdays...you name it, I think we covered it.  P.s can I also just say now that Tom is no where near as tall as I thought he was...slightly ...

    An early morning start for me to get to Roelof and Janny's place in Gorredijk. Then we were off to Urk, a fishing village which was once an island. The weather was great to sit outside and enjoy coffee and lunch and a stroll around the village.
    We returned to Gorredijk and then rode bicycles through the woods and countryside to find a lovely quiet place to enjoy afternoon tea, in the sunshine.

    ... quickly as expected. I learnt so much about Adrian’s family history, the good and the bad. I realised that his silent treatment (that can last up to an impressive 3 days at a time) runs in the Folkers blood and like Adrian (although he wont admit it) they are late and not the greatest at organising, and if they can save a penny or two then it’s worth waiting for, or driving to the cheapest shop 40 miles away to save a buck.
