We slept through the 7:20 alarm. We slept through the 7:30 alarm. We woke at 8:10. It was going to be a long day.

This morning we packed up alongside a family on their cycling holiday. Both parents had front panniers, rear panniers and handlebar bags and the two children each had 2 rear panniers too. Looking over at them it made us feel very under-equipped. We put it down to the fact this is our ...

The campsite we are at is very big and busy, but is very well planned and works very well. I'm very impressed with its layout. Rabbits everywhere! Playgrounds all over. It's alongside a big lake area used for water sports, and has a nice ...

... haired children all shook my hand. So did her 7 foot husband ! Then coffee and cake. I have eaten too much in Holland !! I couldn't concentrate too much - not only so tired, but except for Roos who spoke to me in English, they spoke Dutch all the time. Before we had lunch I was touched that Roos asked me if I wanted to say a Grace for myself. Wonderful to be able to contact Willow and James on Whatsapp, and quick mail to ...
