Farewell Dinner, Farewell Tacloban...
... and rode away from Bliss in tears.
It wasn't all sad. When we got to the airport I walked around the side of the jeepney waiting for the others to unload. Out of no where this little head pops out of the front set of the jeepney and says "Ate Heather, Weather!" Meco had gotten in the jeepney with out any of us knowing and road all the way to the airport. It was so random and I couldn't help but laugh. It was a happy surprise and a great last memory of Tacloban, Philippines.

Final Week at the Clinic :(
... the grandma to go get the mother in the ambulance to bring her in. We took the baby girl in the back to clean her up and we realized that the placenta was also wrapped in the burlap sack. Surgerical wounds and lost shoes
The clinic was pretty slow on Tuesday. We did a few patient intakes and got to talk with the nurses for awhile. The highlight of the day was cleaning a foot wound. The girl had recently had surgery for a foot cyst. The nurse let me clean the incision and help her bandage it up. Anytime I get to clean a wound makes me happy!
