      Too noisy!

No air-con. Too near the main road, hence, very noisy at night or in the morning, even though location is quite convenient.

We flew into Munich late morning and after checking into our hotel we set off to look at Nymphenburg Palace. We have so many palaces and castles we will see on this trip and we know we don't have time to tour them all on the inside so we just walked around the grounds and gardens of this one. The palace used to be a summer residence for the rulers …

... off for a walk along the river.

When walking in Munich - watch out for the bicycles! Many of the paths are shared, and they zoom by without much room to spare. But, no major mishaps so far. There's a nice path through a park by the Isar, and beautiful bridges to cross for nice views up and down. There's even a "beach" in the middle of the river! We wandered downstream a mile or more, to the Angel of Peace - a ...

... called Bavaria. This is a state in Germany. They consider themselves to be the elite of Germany or so our guide Keith led us to believe. This is a very wealthy area, and it shows. Most of cars rolling around are Mercedes, BMW's, Porches, and we've seen several Ferari's. We found out that a lot of people from the Arab nations come over during the hot months, stay for those months, then go home. These are obviously the wealthier folks, like oil ...

... so many tents and so many people everywhere. After getting into our TP we dropped off our things and hit the small bar on the site where we met a ton of people from all over the world. After a few hours we went to bed because we knew were going to have to get up early for the big day!!!
We woke up super early on Saturday, around 8, and got breakfast from the village. It was toast with an egg in the middle topped with beans in ...

... just awkward as the people didn't seem to get it. We also got to go through a beautiful park that is actually larger than Central Park in New York. The strange part was that they have a nude area of the park. Luckily it was a tad chilly today so there was only one man out and he was pretty far away from us. After the bike tour we walked through the city and tried to enjoy the biggest beer hall here. This beer hall is actually where Hitler used to do all of ...
