When we had lunch, there was a boat moored near us and as we left the forge we could see it making its way up the canal, so we stopped on the bridge to take some photos.
they were obviously novice sailors as they bumped ...

... It was of nice level gravel, with high hedges and big enough to give large areas of sun and shade. The toilet facilities were fine, although you had to let the water run a while to get hot.
There was even free wifi on the pitch but not very strong.

We left the very wet and smelly lakeside heading south on a mission.

Although I consider myself to be a master of transitions, having moved so many times already, my move to Auxerre was much harder than I anticipated. It was easy to forget the real reason I came to France during those first few days in Dijon. I was so comfortable back in my old room with my host family.

I don't have a lot to say about the village other than it was quite beautiful in a classic village type of way. Rolling green hills, vines climbing up ancient stone buildings, etc.
I may write more about it later, but for now I want to upload some photos while I still have wifi ...
