      Our idea today was to head off from the campsite we stayed in last night and move on down the road a bit, There is a spot near here that is the site of an old Roman-Gallic battle and there is a museum there so we had decided that we would go there since the forecast was for rain.       ... br> We continued on along the towpath to the Grand Forge de Buffon. This was built in 1768 by George-Louis Leclerc, Count of Buffon. On the river level are the furnace, refinery and foundry and above it lodgings ,gardens and the farm.

      ... It was of nice level gravel, with high hedges and big enough to give large areas of sun and shade. The toilet facilities were fine, although you had to let the water run a while to get hot.
      There was even free wifi on the pitch but not very strong.
