I know it's been a while since I've posted, but have no fear, I am not one of the unfortunate 8 souls who died last weekend from an avalanche in the surrounding areas. True stat. I haven't done any crazy traveling the past two weeks, but I have visited some pretty cool places that I can fill y'all in on!

Classes have been progressing as normal, and everyone is settling more into the routine now. The best part about this so far has ...

... lots of snow. It was one of the most beautiful places I had ever seen. The photos below won't do it any justice, but I tried! We then went to a restaurant for all you can eat fondue. We took up an entire room upstairs, got endless pots of fondue, bread, raclettes, and wine, and took our first leisurely European lunch. ... weather, there were swimmers and sailboats out in force. Persephone and I ploughed on and about 4pm arrived at my accomodation on the shores of Lake Annecy. I quickly changed into my swimming shorts and enjoyed a refreshing dip off their jetty. Lake Annecy is reputed as being the cleanest lake in Europe and it reminds me of Switzerland. Indeed it is very close to the border! A bit later I walked 100m to the local office de Tourisme in the little village of ...

Beautiful but cold - as in attitude!

      Well hello you all... :-)

We were sad to leave Paris behind but we knew we had other places to see and experience. Switzerland - the trips main feature...we landed in Geneva. It is a very pretty city but the inhabitants were a little cold (meaning, they were a little arrogant towards us Canadians), no bother, we still enjoyed our time immensely.

We were only in Geneva for a day, from super early to about 6 pm, this was still ...
