Prague, the city of one hundred spires. While Meg and I haven't seen all one hundred spires, we have found a city that is a melting pot of languages, food, and architecture. Tonight Martha's daughter, Stephanie, flew in to join us on our trip. So Martha had to forego the cruise to pick her up from the airport. Also one of our members, Cristina, has developed a chest cold and has not been feeling well. So she also missed the river cruise.

Each course was paired with a czech wine from small family producers. The wines by themselves were correct, but not special. However, that pairings were exquisite bringing the wines and food up several notches. Huge kudos to their sommelier who really understands pairings - this was one of the best i have had ...

... to the left of the bank immediately opposite the castle. At the top of the massive hill and gardens sits the mini eiffel tower perched overlooking the city. We punished ourselves walking up the steep inclines but made it to the top puffing and panting but with a feeling of accomplishment and satisfaction. Good exercise! Half way up offered the best views of the city. You could see terra cotta topped houses for miles and the Charles bridge in ...
