With beautiful weather the TT wagon rolled out at 9am and South we headed to the little Town of Luz St. Savour.....Tom Lee our tour guide set a solid pace into a head wind with a few of the Not so Serious seven challenged to hold the group and a split happened...was this shades of things to come?     ... Spain which is tantalisingly close. Tapas beckon. We were welcomed cheerfully by Anna and Chris at our wonderful millhouse with cool water running under and beside and making the heat very bearable.     ... I stopped and reversed back behind him just in time as a bloody great lorry came barrelling through! He must have been in CB contact with it or something to know it was coming but it was nearly embarrassing for me.

    The route there took me over the Col d’Aspin and the Col du Tourmalet which are both famous for being on the Tour de France route. They were massive winding climbs but the van took them in her stride and we made it to Gavarnie fine. I did note signs ...
