... anxious and I was gripping the car seat tightly and could not look down. These really are some high mountains and we could not believe the speed limit (100 km/hr) on these roads. Thank goodnesss Jon is such a calm and safe driver :)

... and a large drop in front of us, we had no time to panic as it was upon us before we realised and had to go with the flow, we paddled around and even over some of the rocks and, there was the drop, the canoe went nose first taking us with it and somehow (I'm not sure how) we were down to loud cheers and clapping from the crowd. As predicted, the weather took a turn for the worse and so we headed out to see the Pont du Gard a Unesco world heritage site. What have the Romans ever done for us cried Monty Python ? Here is the aqueduct, a stunning piece of design and engineering. As the day went on, amazing storms ensued with lightening thunder and torrential rain. We got very wet.
