... a tourist destination and the town is
filled with tourists ooooing and aaaaahing and taking pictures of absolutely
everything. Watching tourists from all over the world is an experience all on
its own. Of course the town is dominated by the Matterhorn which towers over a
town filled with chalets, hotels, tourist shops and flowers. The Flowers are

    ... ht down for a 1000 meter
vertical descent. Eina. Sore knees and toes were in order and to round it all
off the path was full of stinging nettles and the temperature must have been
close to 30 degrees. Oh well, one has to do these things as well in order to

camp where we washed away our aches and pains with a few cold ones and a Swiss “Boerie”
    braai.

We looked around wondering if we could move somewhere else, even another car further back in the train. ...

    ... were absolutely
    stunning.

And so back to our patiently waiting bikes and back to camp
for a well-deserved beer and supper of braaied chicken wings……with skin.

Swiss meat is funny. None of it has fat. All the fat from
every cut is removed by the butcher and one cannot buy any meat in the shops
that has fat on it. Very sad state of affairs, and so we buy chicken with skin
on it so as to satisfy our craving for delicious cooked animal fat.

    I am so Lucky!

A travel blog entry by lisaredwood on Jul 07, 2011

I am so lucky! I got to spend 2 nights in my friend's apartment in the mountain. It is small but it already had quite a lot of food in it and the manual said that you can eat what you find so that was good! I did go shopping for some veggies J See the view? That was from every room :P The first night there was a bike party, it was pretty small but I went for a while and half the cars were from NL, ...
