    ... Gronergrat .It is at 3100 feet, very thin air , very exhilarating. It is the closest you can get without climbing the Matterhorn (which Noel was seriously contemplating how we could fit that in also ). Air crisp , sun out, snow everywhere.     I am so lucky! I got to spend 2 nights in my friend's apartment in the mountain. It is small but it already had quite a lot of food in it and the manual said that you can eat what you find so that was good! I did go shopping for some veggies J See the view?     Mum has come by for a 2 week trip. In the first 5 days we have visited Morge, Grand Dixence and eaten out a few times in the vineyards enjoying the early summer weather!

    Finally we called it a night. Everyone was exhausted and the time change was showing its effects. Note to all travelers in Europe: bring several plug adapters with you. We needed one for the hair dryer (I promptly burnt mine out within 2 minutes), one for the computer, one for the camera battery, one for the Kindle, one for Riley's PSP game....you get the picture. ...
