We had a crazy busy day today with a trip with Aldo DV up the mountain to above Viano in Switzerland to see Nonno and Bobs old houses. This was a grand trek of switch back roads and scary drops but Aldo took it in his stride and we arrived safe above the snow line to admire sweeping vies of the mountains and valleys and breath taking vistas of far away cabins. Where we were their was one cunningly restored ...
... and a walk up to a very old couple of castles ruled by viscount of the area. It proved to be build over even older for timings dating back to pre Christ they believe. A wonderful site and the view was pretty spectacular as usual. Followed by a calm and pleasant walk thru Grosio (not Joe the slacker) then a nice easy meal at Luisa's with much laughter wine and talk. Claudio dropped us off for a well earn treat after finishing typing up the last three days...starting to flag now ...

... here. We were met in Tirano at the station by Laura (lowera with a slight roll of the r) and Luisa who Kane nearly ate out of house and home when he was here last. She is a lovely lady, full of good cheer, but doesn't understand much of our English but we made do with Laura and joes pigeon Italian dialect to get by.
