Arrived late and because of the price thought we would be staying somewhere a pretty dodgy, but were pleasantly surprised by how modern, clean and roomy the hotel was. It had a really nice pool and outdoor area and the rooms were very nicely furnished and spottlesly clean. The staff were helpful and seemed really nice. I would definently recommend staying here.

... of winding roads later, we stopped off at a roadside breakfast buffet. I'd taken some tablets and slept most of the way so I wasn't all that hungry, so I just bought a one-peso banana from a woman selling fruit on the side of the road.

After breakfast, we all started to wake up a little, and got energized for the day ahead.

... The other structures go on beyond the plaza.

We like camping at Palenque it doesn't change much. The pool had been painted and was very clean. But there were not enough people in the restaurant for the Musicians to show up. We missed the music, however, the howler monkeys came near the campground for a few visits, once in the afternoon and twice in the night.

... 15 minutes for lunch. I had the meatballs and rice which was nice! Dylan had pork an rice. Got stopped for a passport check at 4pm. They only picked a few people to show their passports and a couple of ladies got off the bus. Not sure what that was about! Dylan and I got picked, but then the guy didn't actually look at our passports! We stopped for a 5 minute break at 4:40. Back on the bus and we decided to start watching "a thousand ways to die in the west" but only got part way ...
