Arrived late and because of the price thought we would be staying somewhere a pretty dodgy, but were pleasantly surprised by how modern, clean and roomy the hotel was. It had a really nice pool and outdoor area and the rooms were very nicely furnished and spottlesly clean. The staff were helpful and seemed really nice. I would definently recommend staying here.

... the jungle, the site is airless. We manage 2 hours walking up the stairs of the ancient pyramid structures but give up before fainting. Thank god our hotel has air-conditioning!

The next day we get an afternoon bus which takes us across the bottom of Mexico to the Caribbean border town of Chetumal.

... highly recommended by Ernesto!). We drove along narrow bumpy roads to what seemed like the middle of nowhere and finally arrived to a absolutely stunning set of pools and waterfalls! We could see local boys and girls hanging around swimming. It felt like we were the only tourists there! We jumped off a branch into the main pool which was really cool! Perfect time for a beer in the pool but no sooner had I got one that the skies opened and it started pouring with rain!!!! ...

... using the Palace complex as the back drop. Siting under shade of a tree in the cool breeze watching them set up certainly help passed the 2 hour free time one had.

My i phone pano photos still to be added. These will give a better scale of the site.
