... day with my grandsons at the beach.It was fun to remember their visit as we hiked.
After a couple of hours we rounded the last ridge to find Benidorm at our feet. Perfect timing, now a stroll into town for lunch before we caught a bus to the tram and were on our way home again.
The photos can't begin to give you the view...you must come and hike it with us!
... snack were the solar boat docks during the season.
Finally we continued on through a rougher part of the trail...forging one stream via some stepping stones until we were on the long uphill climb back to Beriardá.
Of course the walk is never complete without a stop for a cool drink and a little more conversation.
We enjoyed seeing Guadalest from a new direction!
... rents the chairs and brings us some caña and cava from the churinguito. Today was their closing day and in the late afternoon we exchanged fond farewells as we left the beach!
But now we were seaside, under the umbrella for me and in the sun for Lars...and in another few minutes we were bobbing in the surf. The water is cooling a bit but it felt so fantastic. Yes, heaven for us!

... the rear, porch canopies front and back. Today (Wednesday) they are adding a roof lining to the awning as well as special lighting. It will be interesting to see their completed home-from-home before we go. Anyway, other than a trip out to the Lidl supermarket for supplies, we haven't been inspired to venture much further, particularly as David has come down with a 'flu-type bug and is not feeling too good.
