Cordoba is the second biggest city in Argentina. It was quite strange being back in a proper city again. After leaving the piece and quiet of the estancia, it was a big change. ... so is still jumping around. She tries to chase the cows, but it ends up being the other way around. They are all pretty friendly and love visitors. The afternoon after lunch we had a lasso lesson from the gauchos. I get close but no cigar, a couple of the girls manage to rope some calves. Today we all woke up well rested and ready for some more exploring! We signed up for a tour that was going to take us to two different vineyards and an olive oil making company. Mendoza is recognized as one of the leading international wine producers, so I thought it would be interesting to see what a vineyard was like and how exactly the wine is made. The bus left the hostel around 12pm and we first went to a vineyard around thirty minutes away ...

Luckily a brave young boy stepped forward and kindly explained to us as best he could that our bus wasn't going anywhere and that they had sent for another bus -about bloody time! Arriving in Cordoba feeling worse for wear (and a little irritable), we scouted around the dead quiet town in search of dinner.
