We got inside and checked in and then came to the realization that our room was on the fourth floor. But you see, in Rome, floor 1 isn’t the main floor. Floors start at 0 and any below the main level of the ground are -1, -2, etc. etc. So really, our room was on the fourth floor with two sets of stairs per floor.
