... all 363 steps of the tight spiral staircase, we made it to the top. The views were great! After the climb, we grabbed a cool, hot dog/bratwurst in a bun, where they cut a hole in the bread roll, inserted some ketchup/mustard and shoved the hot dog/bratwurst into the bread. No mess and it tasted great.
... so much more interesting here we could not believe the things unfolding before our eyes here. But our time came close for us to have to continue and move on to the next challenge. We then found a taxi near the Colosseum and headed back to the airport for our next flight. As we boarded our flight we sadly stared out the thick glass windows and said our goodbyes to such a beautiful country. "So long till next time" we said. ...
... there are strict limitations on signage to maintain the heritage value of the area. We were the only patrons when we arrived and we had a couple of drinks and chatted with the staff. And we confirmed the arrangements for tomorrow and sent a message to Tina and Andrew via the pubs wifi. We also started chatting with one of Craig's daughters via Messenger, she was online having just woken in NZ. So we went back to our hotel to the Skype them. It was about 10pm Rome ...
... laughing which is so infectious. Our dinner was a bit cringe worthy as the waiter went around all of the women getting kisses in exchange for a rose. We were also serenaded with a guitarist and a flutist, of course they wanted money as well. Not going to get much from the Aussies and us but the Americans lapped it up. Tour starts for real in the morning but Wifi on the bus is useless and the hotel is not much better.

We decided that our first full day tomorrow would start with a trip to the Vatican and then explore some of the other attractions. We awoke earlyish the next morning after a mostly good sleep - we discovered the night before that the toilet makes a horrendous humming noise....actually less like a hum, more ...
