    Today we visited Disneyland. It's hard to write about it objectively, because theme parks, in general are not quite my thing and I find it very hard to get enthusiastic about them. But I am glad I experienced DL. It is sort of amazing to visit a place you see so much on TV and film; certainly, it is the historical aspect about it that I liked the most...not so much the rides.     ... with George while Lavinia takes Miranda and William to Goofy’s Flying Circus – a wild mouse style rollercoaster. When they get back, I let them know I really need a lie down – and here is another benefit of staying at a Disney hotel – a 15-20 minute walk later, we are back at our hotel room, and I can lie down and recover from some of those rides, while Lavinia takes the kids up to the hotel pool.
