... then she wanted to mow where I was sitting so I had to go inside & we decided to go for a drive to Trouville which is a beach side town. This was a bit like an English beach town with lots of events happening on the sand. Yes there was coarse sand! We then drove to Honfleur & had some dinner there as it was our last night. This area & Honfleur in particular is a really lovely place to visit & we feel a bit sad to be leaving. The food was great tonight ...
Having decided several
days before that we would head for home after Carcassonne and not to
other towns or the cottage in La Limouziniere, we set off very early
in darkness to ride across France in a day. The route would be all
motorway and only broken up by fuel stops and a lunch break. It would
also prove to be our longest haul yet at just under 600 miles. It has
to be said that whilst it was not uncomfortable, it was very boring
and only livened ...

Only had to pack a few things up but I had to change rooms so still had to pack everything....kinda sucked....but I managed to drag everything to the new room and headed to the steed. It is looking pretty dirty....a few rainstorms and the bugs are gathering on it. but I've seen worse so not too worried. ... just a bit north of the D-Day Invasion beaches. That being done....I was in no panic to get there so packed up......and toddled off on me way.
Must say....it is fun driving the roads here....there are so many villages....and small towns. I am letting the GPS get me there....and it seems to know I want to minimize me time on the major highways...or....the fact that nothing runs straight.....it puts me in the windy country ...
