With 1000km to drive in 2 days to get to Logrono to meet the girls, we had a fair bit of driving to do. We drove out of Portugal along the coast to the North-west corner of Spain before heading along the north coast and stopping for the night in the seaside town of Gijon. Not much to report, we went for a wander along the shore and checked out the city before grabbing a feed and hitting the pillow around ...
After departing from SADA with a slight weariness from bonfire night's exuberance by 10, it was time to rejoin the A-8 which runs the parallel to the coast. It is a beautiful drive as it it runs parallel to the coast virtually throughout. If we crossed a hundred Rio's yesterday it was easily that. If you suffer from vertigo don't look down. regresaron a la escuela en Madrid justo ...
... as the earlier one, but the cave itself is like a big concert hall (size) with lots of stalagmites and stalactites. It was as if I got into the scenes from Indiana Jones or Goonies! :)
After the cave adventures, we walked around the town of Ribadesella, grabbed some food and Churros con Chocolate (yes!!), and further walked around along seawall.
We are now back in the room. Tired but content. :)
