    Gijon

With 1000km to drive in 2 days to get to Logrono to meet the girls, we had a fair bit of driving to do. We drove out of Portugal along the coast to the North-west corner of Spain before heading along the north coast and stopping for the night in the seaside town of Gijon. Not much to report, we went for a wander along the shore and checked out the city before grabbing a feed and hitting the pillow around ...

Not terribly busy either so you are not constantly fighting with trucks as was the case on the mediterranean coast.
The hills and valleys are very like Ireland, lush green fields and woodland.

I couldn't resist running into Rite Aid as I passed in front of it. I asked the pharmacist if there was something else I should do. " Yes, he said. Get yourself to a doctor and get an antibiotic immediately." But I was leaving for Spain at 5. " All ...

... road to drive on. Also, there are many animals; such as bulls, sheep,
and goats. The goats were on huge rocks on the cliff, and they had a sheep dog
with them. In spite of all the beauty, it was a little difficult to arrive at
the route. There is only a very small road, with no guard rail for most of the
drive, but nevertheless, we arrived safely. Today, we visited the beach again,
and then returned to the school in Madrid just in time for class.
