At 1-30 we set off by coach for an afternoon tour.Our guide was called Stadi a very pleasant lady, who told us that the area has plenty of subterrannean water which is essential for them to grow olives,tomatoes & grapes. Olympia – Katakolon (car-tack-o-lon)
The port of Katakolon is tiny and at first appearance seems great and it doesn't disappoint. Trees down to the ocean and a small protected harbour makes it a pleasant place. The harbour wall has 10 or 15 restaurants and cafes and the street behind hosts many small shops.
