    ... Milan in the 19th century. It is now home to a series of museums and art collections. We passed through the central courtyard to and wandered through the extensive Parco Sempione, stopping to get up close to some local wildlife. Afterwards we headed back into the retail district for a spot of shopping before mixing it with the rush hour traffic on the trip back past Lago di Como to Morbegno.

    ... we had found our way there, we could not have looked at it! We decide we have had enough walking for today and follow the main road back to the car.     ... is a jewel. A section of the museum was originally part of a church and the paintings are hung in 25 rooms set up and down stairs and around a courtyard. The range of masterpieces, primarily Italian, but some Flemish, is extraordinary; the star of the collection is the Raphael's cartoon for The School of Athens (the painting hangs in the Vatican).
