    ... They were everywhere. In fact I tripped on a couple so desperate they were to eat their crumbs they don't move out of the way very fast.

    It was late afternoon by this stage and we needed to get to Verona to check in to the next hotel. So we retraced our steps to the Metro, and found our car exactly where we had left it - wheels all in tact, no graffiti and no traffic tickets - woohoo!

    A short 90 minute drive and we were in the fair city ...

    ... arrived from nowhere, and another jug of warmed milk. The Italians do know how to brew a good coffee. Even Connor has been enjoying a brew or two while here in Europe. This morning he decided to have a cappuccino, and later, at morning tea, an iced coffee (which turned out to be less with the ice cream and ice, and more of the 'made with cold water'. Its all an experience!!)

    The weather's still the same, beautiful, hot, sunny summer days, the language, the delicious food the cheap coffee are all still the same.     In the morning, its another bright sunny day (got to keep our good weather streak going) as we prepare to head west to Heathrow, then on to Vancouver & finally the last hop over to the island.

    Its been a fabulous trip, we both agree we wouldn't have changed a thing. We've been very fortunate to have met so many great people & enjoyed some great experiences & places.
