We stop in Pula at a Lidl store. We have been replenishing supplies in Lidl in every country we have visited on this tour. And every store is exactly the same in size and layout to the Lidl just a few hundred metres up the road from where we live in ...

... I've barely had them before Motovun. Every meal included truffles. I had truffles and chicken, truffles and pasta and even truffle soup. My mouth literally waters when I think back on the food I ate there. Damn. Also, my trip to Europe has allowed me to discover a love for red wine, which makes me feel more mature than usual. ... coming back to see. Then we were back on the road for the 250 km drive to Krk. This is an island just off the coast and is a popular tourist destination. The highway is an engineering feat as we climb up over the mountains, through tunnels and switchbacks, over bridges that soar above the ground and past some rugged mountain peaks. Unfortunately it is very hazy, making photography useless. To cross to the island we pass ...

... a dive, dirty Spaniards were to blame.
The town away from the front was actually quite nice and to Nath's disappointment, every street had a barbers on! After much contemplation and 'weighing up of costs' he took the plunge and stepped inside a barbers, much to the amusement of the staff. They charged even less for a proper cut than the butcher in Pula! In the end we all decided to get our hair 'fixed'.
We took a good walk ...
