Our final destination would be the majestic, Triglav National Park that we had been admiring for the past couple of days in Ljubljana. That's right, the mountains are so big in this place that you can easily see them all from the capital, some 70 km away. Before this moment, we would be heading to the townships of Kamnik, Kranj ...
... website from which I stole one picture states "Wolfsberg, holiday city in paradise". Not altogether right, if paradise means heaven, then heaven starts outside the town and… if you have been a good person- or so the story goes- if you miss one of the hundreds of sharp turns, you know exactly where heaven is located within several minutes while tumbling down the mountain. So all indicators point to, that you need to be outside the town.

That night we went to a group traditional Slovenian dinner that came with entertainment. IT WAS SO FUN. Definitely something that we wouldn't have done if my teacher didnt organize it but it turned out to be such a great time. We went to a restaurant that was somewhat new but our teacher hired a folk group to come and teach us about their traditions. They did tons of dances and games ...
... the locals. It lived up to it! Our meal was both delicious and wonderfully presented.
We spent Friday in low gear. We hung around Ljubljana all day, squeezed in an afternoon nap and then had a visit with Marjorie and the kids in the evening. We walked to the center for a nightcap and ended up having a bowl of mushroom soup -- that stuff is amazing here! -- and then some hot mulled wine. Fabulous end to a perfect ...
