We took the train into Bordeaux for the day. It was strange to be in a busy vibrant city after so many days in the country. There was so much to see and not possible to take it all in in one day we would love to come back here for longer ...

It was definitely a sight to see with the ocean on one side and a Forrest on the other we walked along it for a bit but it was huge and on the top the wind was picking up the sand with some force so it was a bit painful on your bare legs. We sat down on the sheltered side and ate some macaroons we had purchased from the market in town. We got back to Bordeaux late ...

After our weekend here, we set back to Cahors to pack and get ready for our big journey to ...

Up and away. Breakfast at neighbouring cafe - €17ea for buffet but we didn't have too much time to think about it - bloody expensive - $NZ90 for an average buffet. We just make it to le gare to buy tickets and the train arrives. Run down the subway and into the train - whew, next train not for another 2 1/2 hours. €110 for us to make the almost 2 hour train trip from Biarritz to Bordeaux, where we're spending the day. A few games of UNO, ...
