      ... here was the parking, which was €1.00 for 4 hours. Dune du Pyla is the tallest sand dune in Europe, and overlooks both hinterland and the sea. We just sat at the top of the dune for a while and took it all in. Again, another place to bring the parents, maybe with a picnic and some nice Bordeaux wine!       Being our first Christmas away from home, it was a bit strange. On Christmas Eve, we were invited around to one of the players houses for a feast and a few drinks.       ... to the iconic Iamsterdam sign to take pictures and went to the Rijks and Van Gogh museum. Didn't really go inside them but I wandered around the public parts of the Rijks and made it into the gift shop. Currently eating dinner before we head onto the night train to Munich!       ... atmosphere, we were also lucky enough to have a dry day! We stopped by the river to have our picnic and people watch and couldn’t believe our eyes when a dog stopped for a poop and it’s owner not only picked the poop up but then proceeded to ‘wet wipe’ his dog’s bottom…..only in France eh!!!!!
