Wednesday 28 May Schloss This morning we set to walk up the Schloss, the fortified area overlooking the town. It was raining so we popped into a church to have a little look around. A service was starting so we sat down and partook. A great organ and a singer led some of the hymns. that the lady and child have just moved out for the duration, leaving
everything, clothes, food etc in situ. She obviously has an interest
in things Indian as an incense smell pervades. The nose tunes out to
it after a short while.
Graz is a university town with loads
of people whizzing around on bikes so one needs to keep ones wits
sharpened to survive.

Today, Brian pushed the envelope of his comfort zone, walking around this huge spa in a bathrobe and slippers...and that was before we ran into the naked man and woman heading to the sauna. That was enough to convince us to skip the sauna.

But there is lots to do in this very unusual spa. We have spent two days lazing around the thermal pools, getting pedicures, Reading and napping. Rogner Bad Blumau is reminiscent of Gaudi's architecture ...

... But first we had lunch...traditional open faced sandwiches. Brian was hesitant but later agreed that they were yummy.

The old town is very walkable, with lots of narrow alleys and buildings with ornate decorations.
