... we caught a bus part way up to the War memorial for the Soviets soldiers who lost their lives defending Bratislava from the Germans. The memorial looked over the city and was lovely to sit there and take in the sights (and eat a chocolate bar). We walked back down to find the bus passing to take us back to where we got on. We could then continue our walk into the Old Town part of Bratislava. Here there was a lovely town square with places to sit and enjoy ...

We decided to buy a $5 bus ticket, ask for directions and started our 45min trek from bus to metro (subway) to tram. We eventually made it to the city center. We were lucky enough to be put up in a hotel for the first two nights in order to get settled in which we ended up needing very badly. The jet ...

    Eurotrip

... The problem is Europe, or specifically it's shape and size. Compared to the America's for example, Europe is tiny and that's great. But with all the countries packed in tight together there's no easy way of seeing them all in a methodical and straightforward way. I knew when I first started on the plan for Europe that I was going to end up doing some kind of zigzag route across the continent in order to see all the bits I wanted to.

Back in Italy I decided to cut a ...
