... was sunny we decided it was a great idea and after checking the tires we headed out. We made one wrong turn on our route at the beginning of the trail but adjusted and found the trail to the sea. We rode about two hours and came to the Adriatic. We found it difficult to get out to the water as beachfront restaurants were all closed and sand was piled quite high creating a break water. We found a small trail and walked our bikes out on the beach to ...

Having walked for the entire afternoon, we took a break to people watch and enjoy some of the famous food of the region. We enjoyed some seafood tonight as Ravenna is on the Adriatic Coast and the seafood is excellent. We finally returned to our room about 9:30 after a very long but enjoyable day.

A few snippets of our 1.5 days in Milan. What a wonderful city! We only came here as a fly-out point but it has been a great experience.

I love the cathedral here, beats Florence hands down. I think it is its wedding cake outside appearance, and the fact we did a good tour that included inside, the archeological site and exhibition underground (very well done) and the upper "terraces" ...

We followed this lake around for half an hour before deciding to head back as the sun was setting. Italy isn't all just old buildings, pizza and the vatican. There are many faces to this country and we have seen a few of them so far. Keeps life ...

... out on what Rimini has to offer!

So we thought after San Marino we would make an effort to check out Rimini and we are glad we did! The center city used to be an old Roman town that was quite wealthy. We also found a memorial to the Canadian soldiers who liberated the city in WWII. There is still one gate remaining aprox 2000 years old that used to be part of the old city walls. Near all the old Roman ruins was information ...
