... was sunny we decided it was a great idea and after checking the tires we headed out. We made one wrong turn on our route at the beginning of the trail but adjusted and found the trail to the sea. We rode about two hours and came to the Adriatic. We found it difficult to get out to the water as beachfront restaurants were all closed and sand was piled quite high creating a break water. Having walked for the entire afternoon, we took a break to people watch and enjoy some of the famous food of the region. We enjoyed some seafood tonight as Ravenna is on the Adriatic Coast and the seafood is excellent. We finally returned to our room about 9:30 after a very long but enjoyable day.

A few snippets of our 1.5 days in Milan. What a wonderful city! We only came here as a fly-out point but it has been a great experience.

I love the cathedral here, beats Florence hands down. I think it is its wedding cake outside appearance, and the fact we did a good tour that included inside, the archeological site and exhibition underground (very well done) and the upper "terraces" ...

... up with pulleys and weights to reveal their catch. Mostly small fish that we'd consider bait but they seemed pretty happy and even had some cooked immediately to eat. We followed this lake around for half an hour before deciding to head back as the sun was setting. Italy isn't all just old buildings, pizza and the vatican. There are many faces to this country and we have seen a few of them so far. Keeps life ...
