Another lazy day, again too drizzly to do laundry. We wandered into town in the afternoon for an explore along the canal path. Pretty trees and pretty peacock bushes led us to a floral bridge opposite the train station into the town centre. Looking back through the photos, it actually looks quite cute but, honestly, it was awful! Being Sunday, everything was closed and ************e was about but the few ...

After we got up, Max, Dad and I rode to the local patisserie to get everybody some breakfast. After this, Max and I went back to ...

... passes validated, but we found the right place after many redirections. Everything is done the old-fashioned way - someone has to stamp your Eurail pass to validate it, and then you have to hand write all the details of each journey into the pass folder in order for it to be valid (I almost threw the folders out before our trip to save space, but thankfully I read the instructions ...

    Paris to Troyes

Heading south to Chablis-Dijon today, we stopped at Troyes for lunch. Troyes (pronounced trois) is a rebuilt truly Medieval town which is being restored to its former glory. The mostly wooden buildings were burnt in the 1610s so was rebuilt using mud brick and stone but in the same style. We checked out ...
