... We found the office complex, which consisted of what had been offices at one time. They were filled with books and papers. I was absolutely fascinated by it, could have spent all day exploring the buildings and stuff. Just really makes me wonder what is the story of the place. It was kind of eery at the same time. We drove 80 km and arrived at our campsite (Monte Royal), having gone over a mountainous area with snow poles already in situ at the side of the road, at 10.15pm but, being Spain, were able to order a simple meal at the bar. It was a chilly evening at this altitude.

Today was a fun day and full of surprises.
We were up by 5, and walking by 6. It seems the rest of the pilgrims were catching on that you really had to be up early if you wanted a bed later. I say this because we were not the first ones up, in fact several groups left before us!
